On Saturday June 14th at 0930, the crew from UHC will be installing raised bed planter boxes at the Gracie courtyard at Truman College. This is part of a larger engagement to support the students with opportunities to engage in urban agriculture.

Bloc’s blox made from the block!
With biofiber-reinforced concrete fresh in the mind, UHC has a plan. UHC decided to create biofiber-reinforced concrete blocks to facilitate the installation of planter boxes for The Bloc Chicago, a nonprofit that works with Chicago’s youth.

We worked with Omni Ecosystems, Perkins + Will, Friends of the Bloomingdale Trail, and Bike a Bee to build a cart for selling honey produced on the Bloomingdale Trail.
